The New Universe Preview: Henry Rockford

 

     I look out the window. I look at this wasteland of Skull City, where I was teleported. It's a new day. The last twenty-four hours of my life was insane. Today is definitely going to be different. My mother gave me a book before she used her magic and teleported me away from the family estate. My mother knew that our lives were in danger. One of the last things she told me was, "Henry, learn everything in this book." "Once you have mastered everything in this book, the next one will find its way to you." My mother smiled and kissed me on the forehead. The portal opened up, and I was teleported away. What was she talking about? I wish I could ask her, but I cannot. I don't think she is coming back. Those people came for her. They are the same people who killed my father. Why? I have so many questions, and the only person who can give me answers is maybe my cousin, and that is a big maybe. 

The fairy bound to my mother is now by my side, but she will not tell me anything. I know she knows something, but these two individuals want to keep secrets from me, or maybe they want me to figure things out alone. Ever since I got to this city, the God of Death is coming after my life. Yup, I have almost died three times since I have been in this city. I was dropped out of the sky, and I was nearly hit by a car that was trying to outrun the police. Oh, and to top it off, I run into a Vampire who probably wants to kill me now. Yes, that has been my last twenty-four hours, and in a few hours, I am going to start my second day by enrolling in this school, which is located a few blocks from where I was almost murdered. Things continue to improve, is what my cousin would say, but she is clearly crazy at this point.
